My sister has a fetish for baby names that started long before I started TTC. Now instead of sending me lists and lists of names, she picks out her favorite name for the day and texts, emails, or calls me with the name. We started talking about Roman names since my husband has a love affair with history.
So the other day I decided that pumpkin is way too innocuous of a name for this little one inside of me that makes me want to hurl and gives me nightmare headaches. So, I affectionately named him Caligula (after a slightly off his rocker Roman Emperor). hee hee hee Believe me, I love my little Caligula. However as I near the conclusion of my fourth day of a constant excruciating headache, I would like my little Caligula to settle down these crazy hormones! I need some peace.
These are the things they don't share with you when they talk about glowing pregnant women! lol.
Hope all is well with you!
xoxo

It is funny that you called the peach a he--since you have always been so certain you would have a girl. I'm getting attached to the name Caligula. I won't be giving you any names since the name is your job--just the one name I have given you to NOT give the child please. I'm waiting for the fb announcement when you are compfortable--so I can comment!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the new "name". As much as we love the little one, they can cause extreme havoc and misery to our bodies! It's so worth it though!!
ReplyDeleteThe name game sounds fun. Hope the headaches leave soon! Glad everything is going well.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Love the new nickname for the baby :)
ReplyDeleteI found you through...ummm, now I forget whose blog it was. Glad to hear the scare is over and you are just about into 2nd trimester. Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteNice name change! And I can't believe you have a peach inside you already (is it weird that I am obsessed with your fruit ticker?, I LOVE IT). xx
ReplyDeleteI might, maybe, possibly have to admit to a name obsession. They say confession to a problem is the first step. Hee,hee. Since I definitely can't help her physically, I just want to be supportive. The reason I give her only one a day is because I was restricted by her might I add! I would give her a list a day if allowed. But limiting me to one has been quite funny! By the way, today's name suggestion is Horatio.
ReplyDeleteEgghunt, I love her fruit ticker too. It makes us laugh!
When do you get around to Mongolian? Atilla is a great name :)
ReplyDeleteLove the nickname...I can't believe your little one is now the size of a peach and you my dear are in your 2nd trimester! :)
ReplyDeletehehehe, don't be jealous of me...your the one who is pregnant while I'm in limbo with my stupid agency, lol! Yes, it will be nice to have him home on weekends especially if we are matched with a baby sooner than later!
