Spotting

After a few hours this morning, I saw the dreaded spot on the TP. The first one was light pink. The following ones all brownish red. I know spotting is normal, but it's much hard not to freak out about it. All activities today for me were cancelled as in no cleaning or walking the dog. Instead I spent the day in bed with my legs up and watching season two of Eureka. Yep, I'm a scifi nerd. Now I'm going right back to laying down too.

  1. I know no matter how many people tell you spotting is super common, especially with IVF, it doesn't help to calm the nerves. You would think Karma would pay attention and give all infertiles a breezy, stress-free pregnancy!

  2. im glad you took it easy and kept your feet up. RJ's right, it's hard to be rational when it's happening to you but try to keep calm.

  4. I've always heard that spotting with IVF is super common. You know all that Dr. Googlin' I used to do. ;) I'm sure everything will be fine, just try to take it easy breezy. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}

  6. I spotted a bit too...right before I had to hold a parent/teacher conference. I was sitting there trying desperately to blink the tears out of my eyes as I sat there and talked to these parents about THEIR CHILD...while I wondered if I was losing my own.

    But the spotting stopped. Its just that little guy getting nice and snuggly in your uterus!!!

  7. GOOD FOR YOU for resting...smart smart girl! I'm sure it is the usual thing we all read and hear about on these blogs! Sprogblogger seemed to find that drinking lots of water helped for some reason...worth a try?
    Keep getting that R&R!
    Love,

  9. Try to breathe and calm down. It is super scary, but apparently normal. Not that that helps in ANY way!!

  10. Brown is good...I spotted like this for the first two weeks after positive beta and was a total basket case. But...all was good. Healthy 2 year old trashing my house proves it. My dr. told me that he really needs to just tell women to expect spotting it is so common. So...unless it is accompanied by cramping and clots and gushes....just do what you are doing and keep your feet up and relax.

    It's so, so scary. As you know, I had four months of it. I'm ordering you to stay in bed, feet up, lots of water :)

    Thoughts and prayers to you!!!!!
