Because I live in PODUNK, I don't get the results of my beta until tomorrow.

    My clinic simply refused to report the first beta. They only gave me the news after my repeat (which was 3 days later, not the traditional 2). It's not very nice, but you can pee on sticks at least. :) And I'm with egghunt, it'll be worth the wait!

    Don't you hate that! My clinic was the same way... but didn't tell me I wouldn't be getting a call that day. I was freaking out all day/night!

    Re: $300 home studies. Yep. I didn't believe it eitehr but got it straight from the Probate court. I made her repeat herself like 4 times and she just laughed and said, "I know - they don't tell you that." The only reason it's so easy and quick though is because it's for private adoption. There's much more involved if you use an agency or do foster care.
