Obnoxious.

I've been really dying to tell you the details of our match, but I'm waiting for our contract to be complete before I share. So instead, you get some TMI from me.  Fair warning.
* * * * * * * *
I've never had a regular period. My periods fall under the category of metromenorrhagia which means that I have excessive or prolonged bleeding at irregular intervals. So, I can bleed for seven to forty-five days and then have another period a week or maybe three weeks later. It's really obnoxious. Not only does it reek havoc on my sex life, but it also makes it really hard to be prepared. Thankfully I got turned onto the diva cup last year which keeps me from spending obnoxious amounts time in el bano.

The only thing the doctors can do about it is put me on birth control pills. Yeah...so obviously that hasn't been an option for the last year.

So tonight, after bleeding for almost three weeks and dieting like mad (11 pounds so far!), I found myself standing at the kitchen island eating these....

fresh raspberries along with a dab of...

Can you blame me?

xoxo

  3. YUM!!!! Oh my word...I would totally die if I had a period that long. You poor thing. But hey...yay for 11 lbs!!! That is AWESOME!

    So excited to hear about your match....hopefully it will involve you using the clinic near me so we can meet up when you go for transfer....tee hee!!!!

    Question...when you are done having babies will you be finding options to deal with that? Like that process called ablasion (sp?) where they basically strip your endometrium wall? or maybe a historectomy? I know I am done having my babies...and even got my tubes tied after baby #2 (even though I am infertile) just to be sure....but seriously....I would love to be rid of just my monthly visitor. Since baby #2 she has been like 10 days each time which is double what it was before babies and I HATE it. I really feel for you.

  4. I certainly don't blame you. I just wonder why a bottle of wine was not also pictured! ;)

  6. Yo' puriod be cray-cray, Mama. Rasperries and nutella are kind of necessary any time, but frankly they are REQUIRED when your reproductive bits are being that obnoxious. ;)

    P.S. I just bought a Diva Cup last week! I am slightly surprised to find myself looking forward to my next period just so I can try that sucker out.
